Delete your Memoir account
Last updated 21 October 2026
Memoir is an event ticketing app run by Memoir Events, LLC. You can delete your Memoir account yourself, in the app or on the web, and you don't need the app to do it. Your account is deleted as soon as you confirm.
In the app
Profile → Settings → Delete account. Tap Delete my account, then Yes, delete everything.
On the web, without the app
- Go to memoir.events/settings and sign in with your account's phone number. We text you a code.
- Under Delete account, choose Delete my account, then Yes, delete everything.
- If you own a business on Memoir, type its name to confirm, once for each business.
Once you're signed in, Profile → Settings takes you to the same place. If you never finished setting up your account, you'll see the setup screen instead, and Delete account is there too.
If you can't sign in
If you've changed your phone number, get back in first: on the sign-in page, choose Changed your phone number? and enter the email you confirmed on your account. Then delete the account as above.
Otherwise, email privacy@memoir.events from the email you confirmed on your account, and include the account's phone number, so we can match the request to the account.
Before you delete
- If other people hold tickets to an upcoming event you host, cancel that event first, from Edit on the event. Everyone is refunded and notified. Until then, deleting is refused, because it would take away tickets that aren't yours to remove.
- If you've hosted events: upcoming events with tickets sold must be cancelled and refunded first. Past events stay for the people who went, shown as hosted by a deleted account.
- Deleting your account also deletes any business you own on Memoir, with its page and its events. You confirm each one by typing its name.
What deleting removes
- Your account and your Memoir sign-in, with your name, phone number, email address and the city you chose.
- Your tickets, and the Event Art that comes with them.
- The photos, videos and notes you added to Memories, and your Lost & Found posts.
- Chat messages that were only a photo or video. One that others replied to stays as “Photo removed.” under “Deleted user,” so their replies stay.
- Your private messages and message requests, sent and received, with their photos. They're removed for the other person too.
- Your likes and emoji reactions.
- The people you blocked, and your message settings.
- Your place in Tribes and Crews. A Tribe you started passes to the person who's been in it longest; if you were the only one in it, it's deleted with its chat and Memories.
- Your Recently viewed history, and the record of when you last opened each chat.
- Guest-list entries you added, and entries on other hosts' guest lists that are linked to your account. An event of yours that stays keeps its guest list (see What stays), except invites nobody answered to numbers not on Memoir: those are deleted.
- Events you host that nobody else holds a ticket to, with their chat, Memories, Lost & Found, guest lists and Event Art.
- Your roles at events (Co-host, Crew, Featured Guest, Scanner), any asks waiting for you, your comp tickets allowance, and the record of tickets you turned away at a door.
- Your host profile, and any business you own.
- The tokens that let us send notifications to your phone.
The stored files behind those photos, videos and Event Art are removed at the same time, along with your profile photo and your businesses' logos.
What stays
- The text of messages you sent in chats, so the conversations other people were part of still make sense. It shows as "Deleted user," without your name or photo, and any photo or video attached to it is removed. To have that text removed too, email privacy@memoir.events before you delete your account: afterwards, nothing links those messages to you any more.
- Events you hosted that have already happened and that other people hold tickets to, and cancelled events of yours that guests can still open: the people who went keep their tickets, Event Art, chat and Memories. These events show as hosted by "Deleted host," and your own messages and posts in them go or stay as described on this page. An upcoming event that other people hold tickets to has to be cancelled first, which refunds them.
- People you checked in at a door stay checked in, without your name.
- Our log of the emails we sent you: the address, which email it was, and when.
- Records of completed payments, where tax and accounting rules require them to be kept.
Deletion can't be undone
Once your account is deleted, it can't be brought back. If you sign in with the same phone number later, you start a new, empty account. What we collect and why is in the privacy policy.
